Paul and Teresa Shipston's 96 Mazda Protege

The Shipston's bought this clean Mazda to replace the smaller but still custom Mazda 323. They began the mods with 2" lowered struts and a set of cut 1 3/4" lowered springs to put them at a more respectable height, 5 inches lower to be exact. Next on the agenda was tinting the windows, adding an alarm, and installing the rims from the 323.

Now what custom ride is complete without a killer stereo? Not this one, so they installed a Kenwood CD player, an Orion 225 HCCA, and an Orion XTR 10" woofer in a bandpass box. Mild, but will definitely get your attention. More mods are in store for this daily driver.

Here is the run down on Paul & Teresa's Mazda 323

Here is a picture of their '94 323 SE. Tinted windows, rims, Python Alarm, a personalized license plate ( SUX 2BU ), vent visors, autographs to the seats, K & N filter, twin exhaust tip, gold plated front emblem, and changed the remaining factory stickers. The stereo is a Clarion Pro Audio CD player, Two Kenwood amps, electronic crossover, Sony components up front with one 10" Kicker in a bandpass box. The Shipstons won first place in the novice class in the I.A.S.C.A. stereo competition held by Krazy Krazy Audio/Video last summer.
