I would like
to thank all the Act One Members who made it out for the family night of
bowling. We had a good turn out. It all started about 6pm Saturday March 10th.
Casey & Jennifer were waiting when Julie, Bryttani, Trysten & I arrived
. Around 6:30pm Steve & his small army showed up. Destiny & 2 of her
kids were right behind them. We had members showing up all night after that. The
bowling began with all the kids playing on 2 lanes. Steve, Carol, Casey & Jennifer on the next 2. Andi, Destiny, Julie & I on the
last 2 lanes. After I kicked Julie, Andi & Destiny's butt in the 1st game
& Steve lost to Casey, Charee & her boyfriend Alan rolled in. The night
was off to a great start. Dale, Caroline, Brian, Shauna, Donald, Sara & Charee's daughter
Kira & her brother showed up over the next few hours. Sara didn't bowl but
she had a great time taking pictures. Everything was going good until poor Steve
was about to tear the place apart. His lane kept resetting after every ball.
Steve complained to no avail, his temper got the better of him & poor Destiny
received a verbal lashing, but all was well after a few beers. Steve apologized & the fun went on. Around 9pm a good friend & an old
Act One member showed up. Ross brought his 2 kids with him. Ross is a Hemet Bowl
regular with a 240 average, we put him with Steve. I think the competition
helped cheer Steve up. Everyone was having a good time. By 10pm I had dropped
into slump unable to get over the 120 mark. Steve finally played a full game
with the 2nd highest score of the night of 183. Ross took top honors with a 213. I finished 3rd with a 168. Donald & Casey was
right behind me with a 165. Destiny took 1st place of the ladies after kicking
my butt in the last game with a 147. Julie & Charee tied for 2nd with a 137.
The games were going fast & before we knew it our bowling bill had reached
$400. Around 11pm everyone started to go there own way , we posed for some
pictures, paid our bill, & stumbled off into the night . I wanted to also thank Destiny's daughter Caitlyn for keeping the kids under control. Hope
to see everyone at the next Act One Event.
